A right wing “Christian” wants to burn and destroy a Quran on September 11. By picking this date, this deranged idiot believes that the attacks on the World Trade center and other places was done by Islam.
Now, I’m not a believer in any organized religion and in reality, I could care less who burns what. However, if someone is going to make some kind of statement by doing so, they should a little…not much, just a little common sense.
First of all, the attacks of September 11, 2001 were against the United States government and not Christianity. All of those that were killed in the attacks were not all “Christians”. They were Hindu’s, Muslims, Buddhists and whatever religious America is made up from…and even atheists, agnostics. America does not have a national “religion”, like Israel or Great Britain.
The REAL reason behind the attacks of 911 was the Foreign Policy of this government towards Israel. The Jewish state has tried everything they can to eliminate the Palestinians…even going into refugee camps and murdering thousands…men, women and children. They do this without fear of any repercussions from the United States. The Israeli military, which is financed by the U.S. Taxpayer, commits atrocities almost on a daily basis…but nothing but silence from the U.S. School children have been used as target practice by Israeli soldiers with no regard for human life. It is this silent total support of Israel over the years that has caused widespread hatred of the United States.
Through out history, Christians have attacked Islam. Yes, the beliefs of Islam is much different that those of Christianity…so what? Are Christians trying to take the “high road” when it comes to religion? If they are, you have to be kidding me! If any religious book should be burned, it should be the Christian Bible… it documents over 2,000,000 deaths. READ it!
King Richard the Lion hearted slaughtered thousands in his crusade AND beheaded over 3,000 at one time! So don’t bring your “holier than thou” stuff up to justify the actions of modern day Christians. In reality, the year might be different, the weapons different, but the Christian mindset is still the same as it was 2,000 years ago.
Wherever these people have gone, they have destroyed societies and cultures! From south America, to Africa to Australia and North America, the indigenous people were wiped out and cultures destroyed because of Christianity. There was no “discovering” these places…they were invaded.
To those who attempt to make the burning of the Stars and Stripes equal to the burning of the Quran…shows how much of an idiot these individuals are. The Flag is not a religious symbol…there is no cross on our Flag. Simply put, burning the Flag (which, by the way is legally permissible in the U.S.) is not the same as burning some kind of “holy book”.
However, what will take place as a result of this “Christian” act will be even more deaths to American and the Military by the Islamic extremists who are no different than Christian extremists. What is heard from the pulpit on any given Sunday is the same as what is heard inside a Mosque when it comes to inflaming their adherents.
Yes…the future of this country. The rainbows being painted by the politicians and others are not real. Sure don’t mean to be a pessimist or a gloom and doom forecaster…but just take a few minutes and look around, not only this country..but the world.
1. The economy of the U.S. is in bad shape…like walking on real thin ice. Foreclosures are still high.. literally thousands across the country every week.. Unemployment is high…over 10% and remaining steady and the amount of those under employed is at an all time high. The country goes deeper in debt every day…with no end in sight.The homeless, men women and children and whole families have our shelters crammed full, and not enough spaces and beds to accommodate them, and thousands are turned away across this country every day. Food kitchens are stretched to the limit and many charitable organizations have reduced what they can do or just given up.
2. Crime is up…the once peaceful border with Mexico has turned into a battlefield and our cities are being over run by drug cartels…The U.S. does not have enough law enforcement personnel to enforce our laws…nor is there enough room in our jails or prisons. To expedite the criminal system, most criminals are given a reprimand or a very light sentence…so as not to over burden the prison system. This results in rapists and other violent offenders to roam free after spending a short time in prison.
3. The world economy is in bad shape…The better off nations of the European Union are forced to bail out the weaker ones…like Greece. Spain, Portugal, Italy and others are on the brink of disaster. The once mighty Euro that traded at over E1.50 dropped in value to E1.19 and has struggled to remain from E1.26 to E1.29. Unemployment remains high throughout Europe and taxes keep rising.
The economy of China is not as robust as it was a year ago… and China is the country that the U.S. depends on to finance the government and the U.S. war machine. And when it comes to Oil in Iran…which China buys for their needs, do you think that China is going to let the Israel or the U.S. attack Iran without major repercussions?
Do you get the picture here?
U.S. credibility..not very high among the world or European nations…nor in Asia…nor in South America…nor in Africa..nor in the Middle East…
Our Constitution is NOT based on a Judeo-Christian heritage, but on English common law.
Fearing the Congregationalist Church would become the dominant national religion, the Connecticut Baptist Congregation demanded “a total separation of church and state” before they would ratify the new constitution.
Tradition has developed that Christian churches should have sole authority over their religious matters and would be exempt from taxation, but forfeit all influence on affairs of state.
My grandmother would have shuddered to witness opening prayers before a football game, let alone before a contentious political meeting. The place for those who wish to pray to whatever and to whoever, is in the home or the church, not in public schools and public streets, abusing the ears of non-believers.
Religious expression by individual forefathers do not, repeat DO NOT, translate into force of law or freedom to abuse the basic protection afforded under the Constitution!
When the dominant religion seeks to impose its religious peculiarities on the whole body politic without toleration of other view points, it is not only unconstitutional, but an insult, an uncharitable action of oppression and boorish behavior that must be challenged by the ACLU and all offended citizens.
It isn’t like mainstream America hasn’t noticed this. The government may try to hide it… however poverty in America has reached all time highs! Over 38,000,000 citizens are receiving Food Stamps to survive. This is more people than are citizens of the Netherlands and Belgium combined!
The biggest increase in poverty from 2008 to 2009 is the largest in recorded history! When the Office of Management and Budget releases their findings in September, it will show an additional 5,700,000 below the poverty level, bringing the total to just under 45,000,000! This is totally outrageous!
Unemployment is over a staggering 10%..and that doesn’t even include those who have just given up looking for work! Foreclosures on homes are still running into the 10’s of thousands…So many people have given up just trying to make ends meet that they are just living in their homes awaiting the eviction!
There are millions of children who don’t get enough to eat every day. In the county just north of here, 53% of the students get free lunches! Shelters for families and the other homeless are crammed full every night, with those who can’t get in, living in their cars! Homeless men and women fill the streets and the parks in EVERY city in America!
For the first time in over 10 years, the U.S. Military achieved their goals for enlistments! Why? because that was the ONLY option open for these young men and women! There were no jobs available in the private sector…that’s why! They sure didn’t join to be patriotic…they joined to survive!
While this is taking place in America…the government is spending BILLIONS of dollars, money that the Treasury has to borrow from China, in Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan! We are “Nation Building” while the U.S. sinks further and further into the abyss of no return.
In these countries, we build roads, bridges, hospitals, schools, water treatment plants and sewage disposal plants. We are building electrical grids to get electricity to everyone. All the while ignoring the basic needs of the citizens of this country!
Now, the government wants to send hundreds of millions of dollars to Haiti…to “rebuild” their country…sending this country even further down…
It is so totally outrageous!
How Are Americans judged by those citizens of other countries? The vast majority of those born in America have never lived outside of our borders. One way to have our national mentality and identity, of who we are and what is it that makes Americans who they are and how others view us is through the media. Another way is through the vast numbers of tourists that visit those “other” countries.
There are many different aspects of America that some might say depict us as “that is what Americans are like”. Is it our love of Reality shows? are programs like the Amazing Race, Wipeout, The Bachelor, the Bachelorette, American Idol, America Got’s Talent what determines how we are?
Or are programs like , The Simpsons, Family Guy, King of the Hill, American Dad what other countries see? Since we seem to have a lot of TV programs depicting violence, such as NCIS, Law & Order, Criminal Minds, C.S.I., and Cold Case are those the type of programs that define our society and culture?
All other countries have newspapers, they have television, they have magazines and they have radio. Do you really think that the media of these other countries report or give an update on what is going on with American Dad in the United States? I don’t really think so. How many countries will post the results of American Idol? Who really gives a crap about who wins outside of America. I really doubt that Canadians care.
However, there are two things that reach almost all citizens of all countries through their radio, through their newspapers, through their television news and where it can reach, through the Internet. Our Military and our Foreign Policy. What the government does reflects upon us as citizens. We vote these idiots into office and they determine National Policy…or a few of them do.
We have 300,000,000 people in this country…yet it only takes 51 Senators and 218 Congressmen to enact anything they want. Through Executive Order…it take only 1 person to decide the fate of millions in this country and being Commander In Chief of the armed forces, in other countries as well.
So, what of the above is more likely to influence the opinions of who we are as a nation. I don’t think I have to spell it out.
Like Vietnam, the United States has poured millions of dollars into Afghanistan with very little to show for it after 7 years except caskets that continually fly into Dover Delaware every week.
I remember Vietnam quite well…the before…the during and the after. The exact same concept of trying to “win” has over taken this government. What is it that we are trying to actually “win”? Freedom for Afghanistan? Impossible! That country is controlled by tribes and will never come under control of a Centralized government…especially one led by a puppet of the United States. Don’t wince…that is exactly what Karzai is…Everyone in America knows it…everyone in Afghanistan knows it and everyone in the whole world knows it…just like Thieu was in South Vietnam…a puppet.
When it comes to trying to conquer and change the mentality in Afghanistan, Hannibal tried it…couldn’t…. Genghis Khan tried it…couldn’t…the Romans tried it…couldn’t…Russia tried it…couldn’t even after 15 years and the best military they had. We have been there for seven years already and no closer than we were then to “win”…and what do we “win”?
Now you have to remember that it was Osama bin Laden and Al Quaida that was responsible for 911…not any Taliban. Osama is not Taliban.
Then there is Iraq…what a mess that is! and only going to get worse. The two religious sects have gone after each other for generations. The only reason that even more blood hasn’t been shed in Iraq (which has been tragic so far) is because of the U.S. Troops trying to keep the peace. However, once they pull out…it is going to be a free for all civil war… until a strongman emerges…someone like Saddam.
Bush really thought tat when the U.S. army entered Baghdad that they would be greeted like the French did in Paris in World War II. It didn’t happen there and it didn’t happen in Kabul.
Another thing..the U.S. interfered in Afghanistan and armed the Taliban when Russian troops went into Afghanistan. We supplied them with all of the latest technology and arms at the time. yes..the TALIBAN…then we walked away…so long…goodbye…see ya later…then what? with all of these guns and ammo… missiles…vehicles…they realized they could be powerful. Remember, Afghanistan is ruled by tribes and factions. No central government.
We have the Vietnam Memorial Wall duly listing all of the brave men and women who valiantly fought the politicians war in Vietnam…all the way from 1959 to 1975. Tens of thousands are still suffering from it. It changed America and how we view our troops. There will be a Wall someday for those who gave their lives in Iraq and Afghanistan. The end result will be the same.
South Vietnam ceased to exist…it is only Vietnam now.
We should have gone after Osama and Al Quaida.

Facing possible jail time, British Petroleum and their bed mates, Halliburton, are hiring high-powered law firms with ties to the Department of Justice and the White House. However, both BP and Halliburton are using other means to defend themselves.
Halliburton’s campaign conributions have sky-rocketed to certain members of Congress since the disaster in the Gulf. In May, Halliburton donated $17,000 which made it the most they have donated since September of 2008. Now get this….13 of the 14 Congressmen receiving them were REPUBLICANS and seven went to those who are on committees with oversight of the disaster.
One week before executive Timothy Probert appeared before the House Energy and Commerce’s investigative subcommittee, HALLIBURTON donated $1,500 to Ranking Republican Joe Barton’s reelection campaign! The largest donation by Halliburton went to former Congressman Pat Toomey (R-Pa) who is running for the Senate.
Meanwhile, an investigation found that primarily during the Bush regime, BP and other oil companies “paid for dozens of trips and meals for officials” from the Dept. of Interior, the Homeland Security, the EPA…all of which are deeply involved in the regulation of oil exploration and spill clean up.
Since January of 2008, lobbyists from BP have spent $30 MILLION to influence legislation, according to the Center for Responsive Politics.
Some coastal governors have benefited from BP as well. BP and other oil companies gave Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour (R) $1.8 MILLION dollars to his campaign, and since the spill, he has been aggressively downplaying the disaster and encouraging people to visit their oily beaches. Texas Gov. Rick Perry (R) dismissed potential BP negligence by referring to the disaster as an “act of God” at a trade association funded by BP.
Evidently, through the years, the Oil companies and the Minerals Management Office that was to review and issue drilling permits for off shore drilling slept in the same bed. There are reports that Oil companies such as British Petroleum and Exxon threw lavish parties of all kinds, including sex parties for the MMO staff and supervisors.
Also, when it came to issuing permits and detailing the ways it was going to be done, oil company executives would fill in all of the required items in pencil as if THEY were MMO staff and then give the paperwork back to the Office where MMO would copy it in ink and then sign off on the permit.
Within 2 weeks of the BP disaster, the head of the MMO suddenly resigned, as well as a few others. Hopefully, they won’t escape prosecution for their misdeeds. But, don’t hold your breath. If any criminal are actually filed against these individuals, they will lawyer up at taxpayer expense, file appeal after appeal and in a few years a settlement of reduced misdemeanor charges will be accepted and a small fine will be levied involving no admission of guilt and they will be re-hired so they can qualify for an exorbitant government pension.
As far as criminal charges against Oil company executives… about the same thing. Remember, these individuals are not U.S. citizens…they are British. What do you think the chances are they would ever be convicted of anything more than littering?
Sure they will be fined…or rather BP will be fined maybe a few billion dollars. But they won’t pay it…customers will. BP makes $66 Billion in PROFITS every month, so what does a few billion mean to them? They won’t even miss a cup o’tea. They’ll go back to Britain and won’t even think about the lives and families their misdeeds have done…and as far as the environment? Could care less…not their problem…it is America’s problem. Oh Well.
Yes, big words and threats will come from the government, going to investigate this…going to investigate that..but in the end…nothing more than hot air.
The humanitarian supply ship, the Rachel Corrie was boarded by Israel. Now if anyone can remember, Rachel Corrie was the young Christian woman murdered by the Israelis by running her over with a bull dozer.
The Rachel Corrie was loaded with aid such as wheel chairs, medical supplies, food…personal hygiene things…and absolutely NOTHING that could cause harm to any citizen of the “jewish State”… and Israel knew it. The whole concept of seizing these ships carrying humanitarian aid is to further slowly exterminate the citizens of Gaza. Nothing more.
Their latest garbage coming from Prime Minister Netanyahu is they will allow this aid to cross into Gaza by land. Are you kidding me? I can see the Bobbleheads bobbing right now, saying “oh great, Israel will let this humanitarian aid reach those in need!”.
I guarantee you that not ONE single band-aid will ever reach Gaza. I guarantee you that not ONE can of corn will ever reach Gaza. What would be great, if the United States would send the same amount of humanitarian aid to Gaza as they did to Haiti…and let the Israeli’s stop those ships. Just a dream…because Israel know they have the U.S. in their back pocket and the U.S. keeps sucking Israeli butt.
Israel wants to have every country in the Middle East sucking their butt…they want to CONTROL every country and demand through fear that every country pay homage and bow down before them. Wasn’t Nazi Germany just like this?
And just like then, countries are just rolling over like bobble heads concerning Israel just like they did for Nazi Germany. Rogue countries and rogue governments like that can’t last forever.
Once one scraps away the garbage of the Israelis, the true character and immorality of Israel will be judged by history. The world will say yet again, “Never Again!”…but it will happen again and again.
Totally amazing on the amount of garbage that spews out of the mouth of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu! And the world is supposed to believe him.
His statement, “Israel is facing an attack of international hypocrisy” Is garbage..He knows that he has the United States in his hip pocket and that he can and will do every and anything he wants without fear of retaliation because his big brother Uncle Sam will protect him.
How many garbage cans can be filled with their rhetoric over this “incident”? Israel is trying to convince the world that their garbage actually smells good. Get this…the Israeli military released a video that allegedly came from one of the ships showing “well-organized” men…in orange life jackets (boy, you can tell they were dressed in good terrorist style! Always thought black was the color of terrorists.) and some were EVEN wearing gas masks…(what evil people they were by wearing the dreaded gas masks!) and then “brandishing iron rods and clubs” . What would any crew do when attacked at night by commandos wearing black…oops…I thought that terrorists wore black…
Then there is the U.S. government stating they are “working to improve humanitarian conditions”. Hmmm…like HOW? in WHAT way? doing WHAT?
Seems like I recall when a certain people were being held hostage by a foreign government, the United States embarked on an airlift to supply those individuals with humanitarian aid…medical supplies (which Israel refuses to let through) food (which Israel refuses to let through) personal hygiene type things…and it was called the “Berlin Airlift”…
So don’t tell me that this government and other governments around the world aren’t able to do the same thing in Gaza.
Israel and the United States don’t like the government of Gaza…but Hamas was democratically elected by the citizens of Gaza . Just because one country doesn’t like the government of another country…does not give it the right to impose sanctions and blockades to impose their will.
Israel can’t throw up garbage to justify their terrorist actions and inhumane treatment of a group of people and weave the poor little “Jewish State” ( have to remind people of the holocaust)
To further the current garbage from the mouths of Israel…Netanyahu stated that Israel would OPPOSE calls from the United Nations for an independent investigation of the raid (attack). Naturally they would…because when the investigation scraped away the garbage, they would find a racist and terrorist state with morally corrupt individuals.
History will judge Israel…without the garbage.
